About this location
Anbangbang is a seasonal billabong and floodplain wetland at the base of Burrungkuy, surrounded by open grassland and savanna woodland. Its shallow water, reedbeds and exposed margins support a rich assemblage of waterbirds, while the nearby sandstone outliers create a sharp transition between floodplain and Stone Country habitats.
