About this location
Apex Park occupies the Altona foreshore immediately east of the Laverton Creek estuary, combining open grassy parkland with views across the creek mouth, sand spit and intertidal feeding areas. Together with neighbouring Doug Grant Reserve and the Laverton Creek Spit Conservation Zone, it forms part of one of the most important shorebird areas in Hobsons Bay, used by both resident waders and migratory species arriving from the northern hemisphere.
