About this location
Lyneham Wetland is a large stormwater wetland constructed in 2011–12, receiving runoff from surrounding suburbs and the concrete channel flowing from Dickson Wetland before overflowing into Sullivans Creek. Its planted reed beds and native edge vegetation slow and filter urban stormwater while providing breeding habitat for waterbirds and other aquatic fauna within inner Canberra.
