Mount Korong NCR

About this location

Mount Korong Nature Conservation Reserve protects a prominent granite outcrop and surrounding dry woodland rising from the plains near Boort. Its rocky slopes support grassy woodland, shrubland and extensive mistletoe-bearing trees, creating important habitat for painted honeyeater, which regularly appears in spring when mistletoe is fruiting.
