Ngurrungurrudjba (Yellow Water) is a broad floodplain wetland connected to the South Alligator River system, with channels, billabongs, reedbeds and open grassy floodplain bordered by savanna woodland. Seasonal changes in water level strongly shape the site, concentrating large numbers of waterbirds, crocodiles and other wildlife as the dry season progresses.
