About this location
Wilabalangaloo Reserve protects a stretch of Murray River frontage and adjoining mallee country between Berri and Renmark, with colourful river cliffs, floodplain woodland and dry inland scrub. The property was formerly part of Cobdogla Station before being donated to the National Trust by Janet Reiners. The name Wilabalangaloo is generally interpreted as meaning ‘place of the red, yellow and brown stones’, referring to the colours of the river cliffs.
