Woodlands Historic Park
About this location
Woodlands Historic Park protects one of the largest remnants of native woodland on Melbourne’s northern fringe, with grey box and river red gum woodland grading into open grassy country around Gellibrand Hill and Moonee Ponds Creek. The park also retains areas of native grassland and riparian vegetation, and supports the fenced eastern barred bandicoot sanctuary alongside a diverse assemblage of woodland birds.
