Ingalba NR
About this location
Ingalba Nature Reserve protects more than 4,000 hectares of remnant woodland west of Temora within the heavily cleared NSW South Western Slopes bioregion. Mugga ironbark–black cypress woodland occupies the rockier and gravelly country, grading into grey box and white cypress woodland on deeper soils, while dwarf she-oak forms dense thickets along some ridge tops. The reserve is particularly valuable as a large surviving block of inland woodland in a region where very little native vegetation remains formally protected.
