Buloke
Two stops while passing through from Bendigo to Ouyen.
Mount Wycheproof is an isolated granite outcrop rising abruptly from the otherwise flat plains of north-central Victoria. Its rocky slopes support a distinctive native flora including rock correa, rock isotome, saltbushes and native grasses, preserving a small remnant of indigenous vegetation within an extensively cleared agricultural landscape. The mount is also geologically notable for wycheproofite, a rare mineral first described from material collected here.
