University of Canberra
About this location
The University of Canberra combines extensive open lawns, native tree plantings and patches of more naturalised vegetation. The campus retains a strong bush character, with mature eucalypts, native grassland connections and regenerating vegetation linking into surrounding reserves and the Lake Ginninderra corridor. Eastern grey kangaroos are a conspicuous part of the campus fauna, while the mix of open ground and mature trees supports a useful range of Canberra’s common woodland and urban birds.
